Jammin' Jam

Tonight was my first "real" attempt (outside of culinary school) at making any sort of jam, jelly, marmalade. I chose one of my favorite fruits, nectarines, because the ones I've been finding at the markets lately are darn delish! So I took a bold leap and attempted to make up my own recipe, based on what someone else had mentioned to me. Here's how it went:


  • two nectarines (skin on and finely diced)
  • 3/4 c white sugar
  • 2 T lemon juice
Simply add all the ingredients together in a pot and stir over low heat, scraping off any foam that rises to the top. After about 20 minutes, you should have a treat for your morning toast!
